Three Video Artists

David Hall (born 1937) is a British video artist, whose pioneering work did much to establish video as an art form.

Lisa Steele (b. 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri) is a Canadian artist, a pioneer in video art, educator, curator and co-founder of V tape in Toronto.

Danny Matthys (Zottegem 1947) is a Flemish - Belgian visual artist, which was originally known as conceptual artist of international reputation. In the beginning of his career in the sixties of the 20th century, he was a pioneer in Polaroid art and Video art.

I started of the process of creating my video clip by doing research on my chosen area witch was the chapel royal, I then drew a story board and wrote out my script. We went to the castle and filmed, we captured the video, edited it and outputted it.

Report

Through the years there have been many different forms of animation one of the earliest types of animation was a zoetrope this is simply a cylinder with vertical slits, inside the cylinder there are a series of pictures that are similar but slightly different, the cylinder is spun around and when you look into the slits it gives the illusion of motion.

Another early example of animation is a thaumatrope, this is simply a piece of card with different pictures on each side, witch is attached to a piece of string, the string is twirled quickly and the pictures on the card appear to combine and make one picture.

Other forms of early animation are Flip Books And The Magic Lantern

Now a days animation is more complex, Stop motion is used very offten this is were an object will be photographed, moved slightly, and then photographed again. When the pictures are played back in normal speed the object will appear to move by itself.

There is also CGI or computer generated imagery this is when 2D images are put together and make a 3D image witch a moved to make a animation
